A loose Cinnamon Capuchin monkey caused chaos in Morristown, Tennessee, after it broke into a music store and damaged instruments. The incident occurred early Sunday morning (January 4) at the Trade Center, a local musical instrument store, when the monkey squeezed through a small pet door and made itself at home. The store shared photos of the monkey holding someone's finger and eating crackers, describing the event as "a bit of monkey business" on social media.

The Morristown Police Department was alerted around 8 a.m. after the monkey evaded animal control. The monkey was eventually captured at a different location in the city around 6 p.m. Local resident Adam Ivy played a crucial role in the capture by providing the monkey with water and snacks until authorities arrived.

The Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce confirmed that the monkey, named Chester, had been reported stolen from RooFeathers Farm. The farm had posted on Facebook seeking help to find their beloved eight-year-old capuchin. The police are currently investigating the theft.

The Trade Center is now dealing with the aftermath of the monkey's visit, which left the store in disarray. Despite the unexpected chaos, the store maintained a lighthearted tone on social media, stating, "Just a little monkey business going on here today at the Trade Center."
